Ezam hopping to Umno like a ‘frog’

PETALING JAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has described the move by former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Youth chief Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor to rejoin Umno as that of a "frog".

The former prime minister said it was not impossible for Ezam to do it again as he had left Umno before and joined PKR.

However, Ezam had been expelled from Umno in 1998 when Dr Mahathir was party president.

Dr Mahathir also believed that Ezam could be a "stepping stone" for PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to rejoin Umno.

"Anwar uses Ezam to rejoin Umno because he (Anwar) is aware that one of the ways he could become prime minister is to have Umno support," he said at the "Suntikan Semangat Satria" (Injecting Hero Spirit) programme yesterday.

"As such, whatever means to get Umno support will be done by Anwar."

"Therefore, be careful when Ezam jumps into Umno."

On his son, Datuk Mukhriz (MP for Jerlun) becoming more outspoken of late, Dr Mahathir said: "If politicians can criticise before, why not now?"

On the call from Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob to his other son, Datuk Mokhzani, to resign as Sepang International Circuit chairman, Dr Mahathir said: "If I am in his position, I will not resign. I will only step down on my own accord without coercion because I prefer to be booted out."

Present were Umno Youth executive council member Datuk Sazmi Miah, MP for Pasir Mas Datuk Ibrahim Ali and former BN Backbencher's Club chairman Datuk Ruhanie Ahmad. -- Bernama

Although Islam tells us to think well of others, we have to spare some percentages for doubt since we are well aware of what Ezam had been before this.

Ezam is the most stupid person I have ever known. He was kicked out from school (VI) for rebellions, and not successful at UIA>>>
